Need to work

I always feel as if iam wasting my time here in US.We have got plenty of time at home.Ofcourse iam a fulltime homemaker taking care of two kids but still i feel that i still have time to do something productive,useful for my family. I want to work, earn money and help my husband.
But my problem is iam a H4 dependent.My husband has come here on H1.So i think i would have to change my visa to work.But is this needed to sit and work at home also?
I dont know what time it would take for all this?!But i want to do something fruitful asap!!

Iam a Masters degree holder in Family Resource Mngt.I dont know how to and what to look in for .. what type of jobs i can see for.. etc.

I have a friend who also feels as if she is wasting time at home.. she has only one schools going daughter!We both finished Nutrition ,Food Service Mngt., and Dietetics together this is my Bachelor's Degree! Life is extremely boring and depressive sometimes for the both of us!

Got any ideas to share and help??!!
